How to Use These Tables
If you are unsure about either your own drag or power output, you can consult Jim Martin’s article. Find the 40k time that is closest to your usual performance and corresponds with the variable you do know. Then check the time savings for the Cervelo frame using the same variables and the corresponding table on this page. Maybe counter to what you would expect, the absolute savings are bigger for lower power outputs (speeds). This is due to the fact that you are out on the course longer, and hence benefit from aerodynamic improvements longer. But the relative gain is bigger for the higher power outputs.

Conclusion
As was already indicated in Jim Martin’s article, considerable time savings can be obtained through the use of aeroframes. However, it is even more important to ride in an aerodynamic body position. Therefore, when choosing a frame, one should look at the geometry as well as aerodynamic characteristics of a frame.
